Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PACU position requiring compact RN licensure and both pre-op and PACU competency.

Details

• Work in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) of a hospital setting
• Must be able to perform both pre-op and PACU duties
• Evening shift schedule with 3x 12-hour shifts per week
• On-call responsibilities required for week nights and weekends
• Uses Epic EMR for charting
• May be required to float to other departments based on business need

Requirements

• Active RN license (Single State or Compact) required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (all AHA)
• Certifications must not expire prior to start date
• Minimum 1 year of PACU specialty experience required
• ASN required, BSN preferred
• Epic EMR charting experience preferred
• No pending license allowed for consideration
• DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical duties in accordance with state Board of Nursing standards
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient nursing care
• Provide health teaching, counseling, and supportive therapy to patients
• Monitor and review treatment plans and document care per hospital and regulatory guidelines
• Promote the mission, vision, and values of the health system
• Former permanent staff must be separated from the health system for at least one year before becoming eligible for this travel assignment
