Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PACU position requiring 2+ years of PACU experience and ACLS certification.

Details

• 24-bed Post Anesthesia Care Unit
• Common diagnoses include orthopedic and general surgery cases
• 12-hour day shifts from 9A to 9P
• 3 shifts per week
• Call required
• Floating required, with high possibility of floating to sister campuses within 15-20 minutes of the facility
• EMR: Epic

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of PACU experience required
• Prior ICU or ER experience required
• Degree accreditation verification required, or 5 years of experience in lieu of accreditation verification
• Driver's license address must match the address on file with the Board of Nursing

Additional Information

• Provide post-anesthesia nursing care to ortho and general surgery patients
• Travelers are expected to function as core staff and demonstrate flexibility as a team player
• Prior travel experience highly preferred
• Orientation begins on a Friday, with remote orientation completed in advance and an in-person visit required for badge/ID
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for travel rate, and cannot own or cosign property within that radius
• All RTO requests must be submitted at the time of application, as the facility will not approve additional RTO after submission
• No block scheduling requests accommodated
