Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PACU position requiring 2+ years of Pre-Op/Post-Op/PACU experience and Epic EMR proficiency.

Details

• Work in the Post Anesthesia Care unit of a hospital environment
• 16-bed unit with patient ratios of 2:1
• Patient population ranges from 6 months of age through geriatrics
• Schedule consists of 3x12-hour day shifts from 9:00 AM to 9:30 PM
• One weekend shift (Saturday/Sunday) required
• On-call responsibilities as needed for 2nd call
• Holiday coverage may be required for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day as 2nd call
• Floating required to sister units for additional support as well as on-campus surgery center based on case volume
• Uses Epic EMR system

Requirements

• Active VA RN license or Compact license required
• Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIHSS (AHA only)
• Minimum 2 years of Pre-Op, Post-Op, and PACU RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Preferred experience with titrating drips, cardiac cases, and multi-specialty patient care
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive nursing care across Pre-Op, Post-Op, and PACU phases
• Navy blue scrubs required per facility dress code policy
• Candidates must reside outside a 65-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
• No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months
