Description

American Traveler is hiring a PACU RN for a 13-week night shift assignment, requiring a KY or compact RN license and BLS certification.

Details

• Work in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) providing care to patients recovering from surgical or procedural anesthesia
• Monitor and manage patients immediately following anesthesia to ensure safety and comfort during initial recovery
• Third shift schedule, Thursday-Saturday 7p-7a
• 36 hours per week across three 12-hour shifts

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or compact) required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification and Annual Dysrhythmia Competency Validation required
• ADN or ASN required, BSN preferred
• No prior experience required, though previous nursing experience is preferred
• Ability to assess age-specific patient safety needs and implement appropriate safety devices

Additional Information

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and implement individualized care plans based on the nursing process
• Coordinate admission, transfer, and discharge activities including discharge teaching
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary care team members
• Delegate and oversee patient care tasks performed by other team members
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities and core measure initiatives
