Job Requirements

• 2+ years of recent Pre-Op, Post-Op, and PACU RN experience
• Active RN license or eligibility for a compact nursing license
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• PALS certification from AHA
• NIH Stroke Scale certification
• Epic experience required
• Strong critical thinking skills in a busy procedural care environment
• Experience with IV access; critical care or trauma background is a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate post-anesthesia recovery care to surgical patients
• Monitor vital signs, airway status, pain levels, and post-operative recovery needs
• Support Pre-Op, Post-Op, and PACU patient flow as needed
• Collaborate with the surgical team, anesthesia providers, and perioperative staff
• Recognize changes in patient condition and escalate concerns promptly
• Document patient care accurately in Epic
• Assist with float needs to related units when requested
• Contribute to a positive, team-oriented culture focused on patient safety and excellent outcomes
