Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PACU position requiring at least 1 year of recent acute care PACU experience and on-call availability.

Details

• Work in the Recovery Room (PACU) unit of a 30-bed hospital department
• Day shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse/CNC and 12 nurses; night shift includes 2 RNs, sometimes on call rather than scheduled
• Patient ratios of 1 RN:2 patients and 1 RN:1 patient depending on acuity
• Common procedures include craniotomies and orthopedic surgeries
• Uses Meditech EMR
• 13-week assignment with a 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM shift schedule
• On-call is required with a 30-minute response time when called

Requirements

• Active KS or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital PACU experience required
• Prior Meditech experience preferred
• Flexibility with hours preferred
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide post-anesthesia recovery care for surgical patients, including neuro and orthopedic cases
• Strong candidates demonstrate a great attitude, resilience under stress, and a focus on patient experience
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility as local candidates will not be considered
