• Position: PACU Registered Nurse (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit RN)
• Location: Nampa, Idaho
• Employment Type: Travel Contract
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: 08/24/2026
• Shift Duration: 8-hour day shifts
• Schedule: 5x8-hour day shifts; multiple start times with unit-managed scheduling
• Hours Per Week: 40
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,000 - $2,100
• Setting: Acute care PACU / Preop / Phase 1 & Phase 2 recovery
• Charting System: Epic
• Orientation: 3 days with a preceptor, plus general hospital orientation

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license
• Minimum 1 year of PACU and Preop nursing experience required
• Experience supporting Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery preferred
• Epic experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Ability to work flexible day shifts and support rotating areas within the unit
• Comfortable reading cardiac rhythms and identifying life-threatening changes
• Willingness to take call when needed
• Must be able to adapt quickly in a fast-paced perioperative environment

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for surgery and provide post-anesthesia recovery care
• Monitor airways, vital signs, pain levels, and patient stability throughout recovery
• Support Preop, PACU Phase 1, and Phase 2 areas as needed
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure smooth patient flow across the unit
• Perform and assist with EKGs, blood draws, blood sugars, transfers, pregnancy tests, vitals, and bladder scanning
• Read cardiac strips and recognize rhythm changes or urgent clinical concerns
• Help with restocking, patient turnover, and maintaining readiness in a small, team-based unit
• Float within the hospital when needed, based on unit needs
• Provide compassionate, high-quality care in a supportive perioperative setting
