Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PACU position requiring NM or compact RN licensure and PALS certification.

Details

  • Work in the Post Surgical PACU unit of a hospital setting
  • Day shift schedule with 4, 10-hour rotating shifts from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM
  • Weekend requirement of 2 weekends per month with 12-hour shifts (Sat/Sun counts as 1 weekend)
  • On-call requirement of one night per week
  • Floating required to other units within surgical services
  • Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

  • Active RN license (New Mexico or Compact) currently in hand
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS via AHA
  • Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant RN experience
  • Must be able to perform Point of Care testing procedures

Additional Information

  • Coordinate and implement patient care specific to the age of the patient population served
  • Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments to identify progress and trends requiring intervention
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care based on nursing standards
  • Participate in patient and family health education and discharge planning
  • Document timely interventions appropriate to patient needs
  • Graphite Gray scrubs required as part of the dress code
  • Returning employees who previously worked at any CHRISTUS facility must be separated for at least 6 months prior to starting a new travel assignment
  • Must reside within a 50-mile radius for local candidate consideration
