Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced PACU RN for a 13-week assignment in New York requiring procedural sedation and Epic experience.

Details

• Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) setting within a community hospital
• Days shift, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM
• Weekend work required as part of the shift schedule
• No on-call requirements
• Compact license not accepted, active NY license required

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS
• Minimum 2 years of PACU experience required
• Experience with AM admissions/blocks and recovery required
• Procedural sedation experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must have own vehicle
• Must pass a 14 panel drug screen within 24 hours of offer acceptance
• Completion of Welle or CPI de-escalation training required for onboarding

Additional Information

• Manage and deliver direct patient care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
• Serve as a leader of the interdisciplinary team under the direction of the attending physician
• Previous travel experience highly preferred
• Candidates with prior Glens Falls Hospital or Albany Med experience should disclose this upfront
• Candidates residing in Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, or Washington counties will not be considered
• Must be available to work holidays as needed
• Dress code allows personal scrubs of any color with no designs, cartoons, or hoodies
• No more than 5 days of requested time off will be accepted, and must be submitted at time of upload
• COVID vaccination encouraged but not required
