Description
Sawgrass Healthcare (A Datson360 Company) is seeking a travel nurse RN PACU - Post Anesthesia Care for a travel nursing job in Hilo, Hawaii.
Job Description & Requirements

- 40 hours per week
- Shift: 8 hours, rotating
- Employment Type: Travel
PACU RN – Post Anesthesia Care Unit
Schedule: 8, 10, or 12-Hour Shifts (Days, Evenings, Nights, Weekends & Holidays)
On-Call: 0–3 shifts per month (8-hour nights and 24-hour weekends/holidays)
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of PACU experience
- 2+ years of ICU or ER critical care experience may be accepted in place of PACU experience
- Active RN license of HI
- BLS & ACLS (AHA) required
- PALS (AHA) recommended; may be required for some assignments
- NIHSS, TNCC, and other specialty certifications preferred
Responsibilities:
- Provide pre-operative, Phase I, and Phase II post-anesthesia patient care
- Monitor patients recovering from anesthesia and surgery
- Assess airway, incision sites, pain, vital signs, and signs of complications
- Administer medications and collaborate with surgeons and anesthesia providers
- Deliver safe, high-quality care while preparing patients for discharge or transfer
