Description

American Traveler is hiring a PACU RN for a night shift acute care hospital assignment requiring at least 1 year of PACU experience and multiple advanced certifications.

Details

• Work in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) of an acute care hospital
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Night shift, 4x10 hour shifts (21:00-7:30)
• Required to work every weekend, either Saturday or Sunday
• On-call responsibilities required
• Cerner charting system used, with EPIC experience preferred
• PACU Phase 1 skills required

Requirements

• Active AK RN license required prior to start; compact license accepted at time of submission
• Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, PALS
• CPAN/CAPA certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Prior charge nurse experience preferred
• Trauma Level II hospital experience preferred

Additional Information

• Deliver post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from surgical procedures
• Must be culturally sensitive to the Native population served by the facility
• 40 hours of hospital orientation and 36 hours of department orientation required
• Any color or pattern of scrubs permitted
• Local candidates not accepted; minimum 100-mile radius rule applies
• Previous staff must have a 2-year gap before returning as a traveler
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
