Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PACU position requiring CA licensure and at least 2 years of PACU/ICU experience in a high acuity hospital setting.

Details

  • Work in the PACU unit of a hospital setting
  • Care for geriatric, adult, and adolescent patients from admission through discharge
  • 13-week assignment with day shift schedule (4x10 hours), with start times of 10:00 AM or 11:00 AM
  • No weekend shifts required
  • Float to other campuses required if needed and census permits
  • Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

  • Active CA RN license required
  • Current certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS, and PALS (preferred)
  • Minimum 2 years of PACU RN experience required, preferably in a high acuity care hospital
  • ICU experience required
  • Cath Lab experience preferred
  • Prior travel nursing experience required
  • Teaching hospital experience preferred
  • Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred

Additional Information

  • Provide individualized peri-anesthesia nursing care based on knowledge of pharmacology and airway management
  • Apply peri-anesthesia standards of care including nursing assessment parameters and medication management
  • Skills may include respiratory, cardiovascular, neurological, and genitourinary/renal patient care as well as various surgical case types
  • Must reside within a 50-mile radius to be eligible for the local rate
  • Holiday coverage may be required for New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day, with only 1 holiday request approved per contract
  • Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract
  • Returning employees must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
