Greenstaff Medical US-Allied is seeking a travel Pathologists' Assistant for a travel job in Los Angeles, California.
Under the supervision and direction of the Chief of Anatomic Pathology, Director of Operations – Anatomic Pathology, and/or the Clinical Specialist Supervisor, the Pathologists' Assistant provides support to the Anatomic Pathology Department. Responsibilities include:
•Describing, photographing, and grossing surgical specimens.
•Assisting with frozen section procedures.
•Supporting administrative functions, including preparation and maintenance of protocols, procedures, reports, data, and instruments.
•Assisting with teaching, budgeting, and other departmental responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements & Qualifications
•Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a Pathologists' Assistant.
•PA(ASCP) certification OR eligible to obtain and pass PA(ASCP) within 12 months of hire.
•Bachelor's degree in a biological or health sciences field from an accredited college or university.
•Successful completion of a NAACLS-accredited Pathologists' Assistant Program.
•Must be currently working as a Pathologists' Assistant with a stable employment history.

Additional Information• Candidates do not have to be PA(ASCP) certified at the time of hire but must be eligible to obtain certification within 12 months.• Candidates must be eligible for certification at the time of submission, meaning they must have completed a Pathologists' Assistant degree.• If already PA(ASCP) certified, attach the certification along with the resume and coversheet during submission.• Flexible scheduling available between 9:00 AM and 8:30 PM.• Candidates interested in shorter contract durations will also be considered.
