Travel Pathology Assistant - $3,485 per week in New York City, NY

Job Title: Pathologist Assistant Profession: Pathologist Assistant Specialty: Pathology - Anatomical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Evening Hours per Shift: 7.5 Experience: 2 years License: NY DOH Pathologists Assistant License Certifications: ASCP certification (preferred) Must-Have: Ability to gross specimens/biopsies. Description: Selects and identifies tissue for microscopic examination. Describes, measures, and dictates gross findings on select specimens using appropriate terminology. Determines proper fixative and decalcification procedures. Photographs specimens as appropriate for specific use and documentation. Grosses specimens and biopsies. Handles approximately 200 cases per day. Ability to provide frozen section coverage (preferred). If a candidate cannot perform grossing and solely conducts biopsying, they will be considered for one of the openings.
