Travel Patient Care Tech (PCT) - $1,343 per week in Portsmouth, NH

Job Title: Travel RN Stepdown/Tele Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in a hospital setting License: Must have a valid state license or compact license Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Telemetry monitoring experience Description: Must have 2 years of experience in a hospital setting. Candidate needs to be comfortable floating into telemetry. Training will be provided. Unit comprises 18 beds with a staff of 6 nurses and 1 aide per shift. Typical patient ratios are 3 patients to 1 nurse, with a possible increase to 4 patients in certain situations. Equipment utilized includes telemetry monitors, Dopplers, cardiac monitors, a-lines, TR bands, and sheaths. The electronic medical record system used is Meditech. Best personality fit includes being dependable, flexible, teamwork-oriented, possessing a can-do attitude, and strong critical thinking skills. Floating areas may include IMCU and Med-Surg. Rotating weekends are required. Typical procedures performed include cardiac catheter lab interventions and vascular surgeries. Nurses are involved in the pre and post-operative care for vascular and cardiac surgeries, as well as STEMI and stroke cases. Candidates should possess cardiac nurse experience; PCCN certification is preferred.
