Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Progressive Care Unit Float – Olympia, WA 98506

Start Date: October 20, 2026

Location: Olympia, Washington

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM). Patient ratios vary from 1:4 to 1:6 depending on unit acuity. Float responsibilities across PCU, Medical-Surgical, and Telemetry units as needed. Weekend coverage required; must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays.

Highlights:

• 13-week travel assignment at a 325-bed short-term acute care facility
• Dynamic float pool role supporting diverse patient populations including ER boarded patients, telemetry, medical-surgical, and progressive care
• Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
• May include charge nurse responsibilities on smaller units, managing staffing needs, bed flow, and general coordination
• Orientation provided with 24 hours of onboarding support
• Opportunity to utilize advanced skills including cardiac drips, vasoactive drip titration, and complex patient care management

Requirements:

• Active Washington State RN license or Compact license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Minimum 3 years of recent RN experience required
• Previous charge nurse experience required
• Experience with 4-6 patient ratios required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Must have nursing experience in the United States (Canadian experience alone does not qualify)
• Current ACLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Proficiency in skills including cardiac telemetry, blood product administration, central line management, BiPAP/CPAP, IV insulin protocols, and managing cardiac/vasoactive drips
• Experience with adult and geriatric patient populations
• Two professional references covering one year within the last three years
• Willingness to float to sister facilities as needed
