Travel RN Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,770–$1,860
• Assignment Type: 13-week travel nursing contract
• Location: Olympia, Washington
• Start Date: October 20, 2026
• End Date: January 19, 2027
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week; 36 hours per week
• Shift Duration: 12-hour nights, approximately 7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m.
• Patient Population: Adults and geriatric patients
• Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:4–6, depending on acuity
• Documentation: Epic
• Float Expectations: Float assignments may vary across medical-surgical, telemetry, emergency department boarding, and nearby affiliated units
• Weekend Coverage: Required

Travel Nurse Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse license in Washington State; compact license must be active and in hand at submission when applicable
• At least 2 years of recent Registered Nurse experience, including medical-surgical and telemetry nursing experience
• Previous Charge Nurse experience is required
• Prior U.S. clinical experience is required; Canadian experience alone does not meet the experience requirement
• Demonstrated experience with cardiac telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation, and cardiac rhythm management
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Epic electronic health record charting experience
• Ability to provide safe, adaptable care while floating between units and patient populations
• Availability for weekend coverage and designated holiday scheduling as required by the assignment

Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in medical-surgical, telemetry, and other inpatient settings
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, recognize changes in patient condition, and initiate appropriate interventions
• Adapt quickly to varying unit workflows, acuity levels, and patient assignments as a float Registered Nurse
• Maintain safe patient assignments and provide care for approximately four to six patients based on acuity
• Administer medications, perform nursing assessments, coordinate care, and document accurately in Epic
• Collaborate with physicians, rapid response teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, rehabilitation, IV teams, and other interdisciplinary partners
• Assume limited Charge Nurse responsibilities when assigned, including staffing coordination, bed flow, and general unit coordination
• Support efficient patient transitions and maintain high standards of clinical quality and patient safety
