Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,770–$1,860
• Location: Olympia, Washington
• Assignment Type: 13-week travel Registered Nurse contract
• Start Date: October 20, 2026
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12-hour day shifts
• Shift Hours: 7:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m.
• Hours per Week: 36
• Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:4–6, depending on acuity
• Charting: Epic electronic medical record (EMR)
• Patient Population: Adult and geriatric patients
• Scheduling: Weekend coverage and holiday participation may be required

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Washington; an active compact license must be in hand when applicable
• At least 2 years of recent medical-surgical telemetry nursing experience
• Previous charge nurse experience is required
• Recent clinical experience in the United States is required
• Telemetry and cardiac step-down experience preferred
• Experience with Epic or a comparable electronic medical record system
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS and NIHSS certifications
• Strong knowledge of cardiac telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, isolation precautions, and oxygen delivery via nasal cannula
• Ability to float between units and adapt quickly to changing patient-care needs
• Willingness to provide charge nurse coverage on smaller units when needed

Travel Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide safe, comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in medical-surgical, telemetry, and emergency department overflow settings
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, recognize dysrhythmias, and initiate appropriate nursing interventions
• Assess patients, administer medications, coordinate treatments, and evaluate clinical outcomes
• Adjust care delivery to changing patient acuity and staffing needs across multiple units
• Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation in Epic
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory services, pharmacy, rehabilitation, rapid response teams, and other interdisciplinary partners
• Provide patient and family education while promoting safety, dignity, and quality outcomes
• Perform core charge nurse responsibilities when assigned, including staffing coordination, bed-flow support, and general unit organization
• Support a collaborative float team and maintain flexibility while caring for diverse patient populations
