Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PCU Float position requiring night shifts with alternating 36/48-hour weekly schedules and a minimum of 2 years of experience.

Details

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) with float responsibilities to overflow areas and the ED for patient holds
• Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Alternating weekly schedule of 36 and 48 hours (3x12 and 4x12 shifts)
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of PCU or progressive care nursing experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience strongly preferred
• 2 supervisor references from within the last 3 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• Float responsibilities include supporting PCU and covering overflow areas and ED holds
• Candidates must be willing to work the alternating 36/48-hour weekly schedule
• Facility conducts its own drug screen upon arrival, including testing for marijuana — a positive result results in automatic cancellation with no exceptions; candidates should avoid any substances that could produce a positive result, including CBD products, prior to arrival
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not accepted
