Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Stepdown Intermediate Care (PCU) position requiring 2 years of PCU/Med-Surg Telemetry experience, Epic proficiency, and a WI or compact RN license.
Details
- Stepdown Intermediate Care unit in an acute care hospital setting
- PCU and Med-Surg/Telemetry patient population
- Traveler will be placed on the unit with the greatest need, either PCU or Med-Surg/Tele, based on individual skill set
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Every other weekend (EOW) required
- Every other holiday (EOH) required
- Floating required within skill set, both within the facility and to sites within 40 miles as needed
- EMR: Epic (experience required)
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active WI RN license or compact RN license
- Current BLS certification (AHA only)
- Current ACLS certification (AHA only)
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
- Minimum 2 years of PCU, Med-Surg Telemetry, or acute care experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- RN Step Down (PCU) specialty exam and skills checklist must be completed
- Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a valid US home address
- 2 professional references required for consideration
- Copies of certifications, license verification/Nursys, and a copy of Driver's License required for consideration
- Full SSN and full DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- Both Med-Surg RNs and Stepdown/PCU RNs are eligible to apply, as credentialing requirements are the same for both
- Local candidates may be considered, but may be subject to a reduced pay rate depending on proximity to the facility
- COVID vaccination is not required for this position
