Job Description:

This position is located on the D2 unit which serves as an inpatient overflow unit with mixed levels of care ranging from medical-surgical to step-down patients. Targeted for short stays, the unit has a quick turnover with a patient bed count of 20. Telemetry is used, and patients who require monitoring will be hardwired to bedside monitors. The electronic medical record system used is Cerner.

Responsibilities:

• Provide care to patients on the observation unit, ensuring the appropriate level of care is maintained.
• Monitor telemetry and report any changes to the appropriate medical personnel.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure a positive patient experience.
• Float to other units as required.

Requirements:

• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Telemetry competency.
• Progressive Care experience.
