Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position in Ohio, requiring a minimum of 2 years of PCU experience and current ACLS/BLS certifications.

Details

• 13-week travel contract in an academic medical center PCU
• Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
• Weekday-primary schedule with occasional weekends and rotating holidays
• Patient ratio of approximately 1:5
• Skills utilized include IV starts and telemetry monitoring
• Epic EMR used for documentation
• Floating required within units of equivalent or lower acuity

Requirements

• Active OH or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Minimum 2 years of PCU experience required
• 2 professional references required: at least 1 from a Manager, Director, or formal leadership (e.g., Supervisor); a Charge RN is acceptable as the second reference; no coworker references accepted
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred

Additional Information

• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
• Former facility employees are eligible after a minimum 6-month separation from the facility
• Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at time of consideration and is limited to 7 days or fewer for the contract
• Ohio state fingerprinting is required and must be completed promptly after accepting an offer — candidates outside Ohio will need to travel to an Ohio fingerprinting location or complete a mailed fingerprinting packet as soon as possible
• Parking is available for agency staff through CampusParc, with multiple permit options ranging from a full-access medical center garage to budget surface lot options with shuttle service
