Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position in Ohio, requiring a minimum of 2 years of PCU experience and active ACLS/BLS certifications.

Details

• Work setting is a hospital Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• Patient ratio of approximately 1:5 (nurse to patients)
• Telemetry monitoring and IV starts are core clinical skills utilized in this role
• Epic EMR is used for documentation
• 3x12-hour night shifts (19:00–07:30)
• Weekday-primary schedule with occasional weekend and rotating holiday requirements
• Floating within units of equivalent or lower acuity is required

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license required
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of PCU experience required
• Two professional references required: at least 1 must be from a Manager, Director, or Supervisor; a Charge RN is acceptable as the second reference; coworker references are not accepted
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred

Additional Information

• Ohio state fingerprinting is required and must be initiated promptly after contract signing — candidates outside Ohio will need to travel to an in-state fingerprinting location or complete a mailed packet as soon as possible upon receipt
• Local candidates are accepted
• Former employees of this facility are eligible for a travel assignment after a minimum 6-month separation
• Any requested time off (RTO) must be submitted prior to placement and is limited to 7 days or fewer for the contract period
