Travel RN – Cardiac Stepdown (PCU) | 4x12 Days | Up to 48 Hours Available
 

Take your cardiac nursing career to the next level! We're looking for an experienced Cardiac Stepdown (PCU) Travel RN to join a high-acuity Interventional Cardiology Advanced Care Unit. If you enjoy caring for complex cardiac patients and working alongside a collaborative team, this is an excellent opportunity.

Schedule

  • Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
  • 4x12-hour shifts
  • 36 or 48-hour contracts available
  • Overtime paid after 48 hours on 48-hour contracts

Patient Population

Care for a diverse, high-acuity adult population, including:

  • Post-cardiac catheterization patients
  • Ablation, pacemaker, and ICD patients
  • Heart failure
  • Cardiac arrhythmias
  • Respiratory failure
  • GI bleeds
  • Sepsis
  • Vascular surgery patients
  • Liver disease
  • Renal failure
  • Substance withdrawal patients

Responsibilities

  • Monitor cardiac telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias
  • Manage cardiac and insulin drips
  • Care for post-cardiac procedure patients
  • Draw arterial blood gases (ABGs)
  • Administer blood products and IV therapies
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide exceptional patient care

Requirements

  • Active RN license (Compact or State License)
  • BLS & ACLS required
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience
  • Recent Cardiac Stepdown (PCU/IMC/DOU) experience required
  • Cardiac experience required
  • Epic experience required
  • Ability to draw ABGs
  • Must successfully complete a telemetry/EKG competency assessment before the start date

Important Qualifications

  • Recent Stepdown/PCU experience is required (ICU experience alone does not qualify.)
  • Your work history must clearly show experience caring for a 1:5 patient ratio in a Stepdown/PCU setting to be considered.
  • Travel experience and Level I or II Trauma experience are preferred.
