Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse - PCU Location: Plano, TX Position Summary: The PCU Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients requiring stepdown services. This role involves collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a fast-paced clinical environment. Shift Details: Shift: 7 PM - 7 AM Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend Call Requirements: Yes Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Qualifications: 2 years of hospital experience 2 years of specialty experience in a stepdown or PCU setting Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification NIH Stroke Scale certification required Preferred Skills: Experience with Meditech documentation system preferred Previous PCU/Stepdown nursing experience Licensure Requirements: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license. Temporary licenses will not be accepted. Dress Code: Scrub Color: Royal Blue Nail Policy: Clean and healthy; no artificial nails or gel nails allowed. Hair: Must be neat, clean, and pulled back if shoulder-length or longer. Extreme styles or colors are not permitted. Tattoos: Should be covered whenever possible. Piercings: Visible piercings, other than earrings, are prohibited. Unit Guidelines: Floating Policy: Nurses may be required to float to other units as needed.
