Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 1 year of recent nursing experience required
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications
• Strong communication, teamwork, and customer service skills
• Ability to adapt in a dynamic, high-acuity Progressive Care Unit environment
• Preferred: Trauma or orthopedic nursing experience
• Preferred: Experience with Meditech electronic medical records

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care to progressive care and stepdown patients
• Monitor telemetry patients and perform frequent reassessments
• Care for patients with surgical, neurological, cardiac, respiratory, and post-operative conditions
• Manage IV therapies and drips according to patient needs and clinical protocols
• Perform routine vital sign checks and thorough nursing assessments
• Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and the interdisciplinary care team
• Float as needed within similar stepdown service lines based on unit needs
