Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiac Stepdown/PCU position requiring 2+ years of specialty experience and NIH Stroke Certification.

Details

• Work in the Cardiac Stepdown/PCU unit of a hospital environment
• 13-week travel assignment with night shift hours from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Required to work every other weekend
• On-call responsibilities required
• Floating required as needed
• Uses Meditech documentation system

Requirements

• Active RN license (TX or Compact) currently in hand - temporary licenses will not be accepted
• Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 2 years of hospital experience required
• Minimum 2 years of PCU/Stepdown specialty experience required
• Meditech EMR experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care to cardiac stepdown/telemetry patients
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered - no local candidates accepted
• Royal blue scrubs required for RNs
• Professional appearance standards apply including guidelines for nails, hair, tattoos, and piercings
