Registered Nurse (RN) - PCU Burn Unit

General Information

This position is for a Registered Nurse in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) specializing in burn care. The role involves providing high-quality nursing care to patients with different medical conditions, including those needing critical care.

Unit Specifics

• Number of Beds: 12
• Patient Ratios:
  • ICU patients: 2:1
  • Med/Surg and PCU patients: 4:1
• Unit Staffing: Charge RN, RNs, Patient Care Technicians (PCTs)
• Type of Equipment: Ventilators, specialty beds, and occasionally Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT)
• Documentation System: Meditech
• Scheduling Requirements: Minimum of 4 weekend shifts per month (schedules are 4 weeks)
• Floating Policy: Contract labor floats first
• Patient Experience Requirements: Med/surg experience preferred
