Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care, telemetry, or stepdown nursing experience
• Progressive care or neuro stepdown experience preferred
• Active RN license in good standing
• BLS required
• ACLS required
• Strong critical thinking, time management, and communication skills
• Comfort working in a high-acuity hospital nursing environment with complex patient needs
• Experience with Meditech is helpful

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care to progressive care and stepdown patients
• Monitor patients with acute and neuro stepdown needs, including titratable cardiac drips
• Support care for patients requiring high-flow oxygen, Vapotherm, BiPAP, trachs, suction, and chest tube management
• Assist with common procedures such as lumbar puncture and chest tube placement
• Perform bedside shift reports, daily huddles, and patient-centered communication
• Collaborate with charge nurses, techs, and support staff to maintain smooth unit operations
• Float after orientation when needed, based on unit needs and experience
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold excellent patient experience standards
