Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 1 year of recent nursing experience required; Progressive Care Unit experience strongly preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and patient monitoring skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative acute care hospital environment
• Excellent communication, organization, and patient advocacy skills
• Willingness to work night shifts and provide high-quality care throughout the assignment

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to Progressive Care Unit patients with a focus on safety, comfort, and clinical outcomes
• Monitor patient status, interpret changes, and respond appropriately to evolving care needs
• Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and physician orders
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to support coordinated patient care
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately and in a timely manner
• Educate patients and families to promote understanding, recovery, and continuity of care
• Maintain a professional, team-oriented approach while adapting to the needs of a busy PCU nursing unit
