- Schedule Notes: Weekend shifts required; experienced nurses may float after orientation

Job Requirements
- Current RN licensure required
- BLS certification required for acute care nursing
- ACLS certification required for neuro stepdown
- Stepdown, PCU, or progressive care nursing experience strongly preferred
- Strong critical thinking, time management, and communication skills
- Comfort working in a fast-paced hospital environment
- Ability to adapt quickly in a travel nurse assignment
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care to acute care and neuro stepdown patients in a progressive care unit
- Monitor patients with a range of clinical needs, including stroke-related conditions and complex medical cases
- Support care involving high-flow oxygen, chest tubes, suction, Vapotherm, BiPAP, trachs, and titrated cardiac drips
- Assist with common bedside and unit procedures such as lumbar punctures and chest tube placement
- Deliver safe, patient-centered care through bedside shift report, daily huddles, and personal connection
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Meditech
- Collaborate with charge nurses, patient care techs, and unit secretaries to ensure smooth patient flow
- Adapt to floating opportunities after orientation when needed
