Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 44-bed Progressive Care Unit with a 4:1 patient ratio (up to 5:1 when stretched)
• Perform neurological and spinal assessments, including C-collar placement and TLSO brace application
• Manage chest tubes, PCA pumps, IV infusions, lumbar drains, and feeding tube placement
• Administer blood transfusions and monitor patients requiring tracheostomy care
• Operate unit equipment including IV pumps, Skylift, and patient lifts
• Float to stepdown and med-surg units as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure (or compact eligibility for North Carolina)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Neuro and trauma care experience
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Strong background in neurological and trauma patient populations
• Experience in a stepdown or progressive care setting
• Familiarity with lumbar drain management and complex neuro/spinal procedures
