Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Progressive Care Unit – Albuquerque, NM 87102

Start Date: October 26, 2026

Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (6:30 PM - 7:00 AM). Option for 36 or 48 hours per week. Patient ratio 1:4-5. Rotating weekend coverage as needed. Floating to like units may be required based on facility needs.

Highlights:

• Cardiac stepdown unit with significant cardiovascular patient population, including post-MI, post-cardiac cath, and cardiac surgery patients
• 55-bed progressive care unit specializing in cardiac telemetry and cardiovascular care
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and physical therapy
• Epic charting system with 24-36 hours of orientation provided
• First-time travelers accepted; cardiovascular experience required
• 13-week travel assignment with potential for up to 4 days pre-approved time off

Requirements:

• Active New Mexico or Compact RN license (pending license accepted if obtained prior to start date)
• Minimum 2 years of progressive care or cardiac stepdown experience preferred (1+ years considered)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required; CPI preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Strong cardiovascular nursing background with experience in cardiac telemetry, dysrhythmia management, and cardiac drip management
• Proficiency with central line care, blood product administration, chest tubes, and post-cardiac procedure care
• Must reside outside 50-mile local radius
