**Join Our Dynamic Cardiac Care Team!** **Job Description:** - **Unit Highlights:** - Fast-paced and challenging cardiac unit at a center of excellence - High acuity progressive/intermediate care environment - 30 beds with a supportive staff of 65, including RNs and PCTs - **Shift Information:** - Day Shift: 7A - 7P - Staffing: - 1 Charge RN, 5-8 RNs, 2-4 PCTs on days - 1 Charge RN, 5-8 nurses, 2-3 PCTs on nights - **Patient Care:** - Typical Ratios: 1:4, often in a 1:5 ratio - Equipment: Tele, transport monitors, suction, feeding pumps, trachs, BIPAP, CPAP, heated high flow, chest tubes, foleys, pacer wires, IV pumps, SCD pumps - **Minimum Qualifications:** - 1-year current PCU hospital experience - BLS, ACLS & NIH certifications required - **Preferred Skills:** - Chest tube management and removal - Pacer wire removal and 12-lead EKG proficiency - O2 management (including BIPAP and heated high-flow) - Experience with medication drips (heparin, diltiazem, amiodarone, Lasix, dobutamine, milrinone, ketamine) - **Typical Procedures:** - Post-cath care including right & left heart caths, TAVRs, ablations - Management of pacemaker implants and TR band - Post-thoracic surgery care (VATs/RATs, resections, lobectomies) - Pre & post care of open-heart surgical patients (CABGs, MVRs, AVRs, aortic dissection repairs) - Vascular surgery postoperative care - **Ideal Candidate Traits:** - A great team player with high energy - Flexible and adaptable to changing situations - Values clear communication and collaboration **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
