• Patient Ratios: 1:4 to 1:5

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of recent nursing experience in a PCU, stepdown, critical care, or progressive care setting
• Active RN licensure
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• ADN or BSN required
• Experience with cardiac drips, chest tubes, and acute care patient management
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented, flexible mindset
• Ability to care for adult and geriatric patients in a fast-paced hospital environment

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in a critical care stepdown and PCU environment
• Monitor and manage patients receiving cardiac drips, post-op care, and complex medical treatment
• Care for patients with diagnoses such as post-CABG, CVA, respiratory failure, heart failure, chest pain, and post-cath lab recovery
• Support patients with chest tubes and other advanced stepdown nursing needs
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to promote safe, effective patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold strong nursing standards
• Float to MedSurg if needed, with minimal likelihood
