• Schedule Notes: Every other weekend; must be willing to float to other units as needed

Job Requirements

• Current RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of current hospital Progressive Care Unit experience required
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH certification required
• Experience with medication drips, central lines, and recovery support preferred
• Strong critical thinking skills and a patient-centered approach
• Ability to work collaboratively as a team player in a fast-paced healthcare environment
• Comfortable floating to other units when needed

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to PCU patients requiring close observation and ongoing assessment
• Monitor and manage patients with chest tubes, IV pumps, drains, and other specialized equipment
• Administer medications and support patients receiving complex therapies and continuous drips
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans
• Document care accurately in the Meditech EMR and maintain safe, organized workflows
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns when needed
• Support a positive, engaged, and patient-focused unit culture
