Minimum Experience Required: 1 year for PCU RN and Tele RN.
Previous permanent staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler.
Travelers must reside at least 100 miles away from any facility.

RN:
PCU/Tele - 1:4 (Days & Nights)
Med/Surg - 1:5 (Days & Nights)
CNA: 1:8 (Days & Nights)
Required Certifications
RN: BLS, ACLS
LPN: BLS required; ACLS preferred
CNA: Certified CNA; BLS not required
Required Education
Completion of a nursing education program approved by a board of nursing; Registered Nurse (RN) designation preferred.
Skills Required
For PCU RN:
Cardiac and vasoactive drip titration
Cardiac rhythm interpretation
IV starts
Blood product administration
CIWA, drain/tube management
Catheter insertion/management
Insulin drips (both DKA and non-DKA)
Continuous bladder irrigation
Chest tube maintenance
Effective communication, strong clinical judgement, professional bedside manner, and teamwork
For Tele RN:
Cardiac rhythm interpretation
IV starts
Blood product administration
CIWA, drain/tube management
Catheter insertion/management
Insulin drips (non-DKA only)
Continuous bladder irrigation
Chest tube maintenance
Effective communication, strong clinical judgement, professional bedside manner, and teamwork
Support on the Unit
CNA (Ratio: 1:8 for both Days & Nights)
Charge Nurse: Yes - 2 for the unit (free-floating), available 24/7
Phlebotomy: Yes, 24/7 for peripheral blood draws only
IV/VAT Team: No
Resource Nurse: Yes, as staffing allows
Respiratory Therapy: Yes, available 24/7
Hospitalist: Yes, available 24/7 in-house
Centralized Tele Monitoring: 24/7 support for Tele reading and alarm notifications
