**Exciting Opportunity for an RN in Cardiac Step-Down Unit!** **Job Description:** - **Unit Information:** - Location: Asheville, NC - Floor: 5th floor - Type of Building: Owen Heart Center (Heart Tower) - **Unit Highlights:** - 40-bed cardiac step-down unit - Dynamic day and night shifts - Patient Ratios: 1:4 (maximum 1:5 for stretch staffing) - Types of Patients: - Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) - Myocardial Infarction (MI) - Chest Pain (CP) - Arrhythmias - Pulmonary Hypertension - Valvular Disease - Endocarditis - Diabetic Ketoacidosis (DKA) - Post cardiac catheterization/stenting - Post pacemaker/ICD/ablation - **Role Requirements:** - Must-Have Skills: - Stepdown or progressive care experience - Telemetry experience - Proficient in titratable or cardiac IV medications (e.g., nitroglycerin, Cardizem, amiodarone, etc.) - Preferred Skills: - Experience with prostacyclins (Flolan, Veletri, Remodulin) - Relief charge experience - **Typical Procedures:** - Bedside Cardioversion - **Personality Fit:** - Flexible and adaptable - Positive attitude - Great team player - Compassionate toward patients - **Certifications Required:** - BLS - ACLS - **Additional Information:** - Dress Code: All white, all navy blue, or white top with navy blue pants. - Floating Areas: All MedSurg units, Stepdown units, COVID unit, and ER holding. - Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend. **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
