**Exciting Opportunity for Travel Registered Nurse - Clinical Decision Unit!** **Job Description:** - **Location:** Main Campus - **Unit Name:** D2 - **Address:** 509 Biltmore Avenue - **Cost Center:** 64812 **Unit Specifics:** - **Scrub Color(s):** Navy Blue/White or combination of the two colors - **Number of Beds:** 40 - **Patient Ratios:** - 1:5 Step-Down - 1:6 MedSurg - 1:5 if combined – day and night - **Unit Staffing Description:** - Goal is a free charge - Typically 1-2 CNAs based on volume – day and night - **Type of Equipment:** Baxter IV pumps - **Documentation System:** Cerner - **Scheduling Requirements:** - Every other weekend - No call - Assist with holidays - **Floating Policy:** Expected to float to other units within skill set - **Patient Experience Requirements:** Patient safety and care come first. **Qualifications:** - **Requested Skill Set:** - Minimum of 2 years of recent MedSurg, Telemetry (remote), and Step-Down (PCU) level experience preferred - **Must Have:** - Positive attitude with a focus on teamwork for this fast-paced, quick-turnover unit - Experience with ED decompression and enhanced throughput is essential - Capable of receiving admitted patients from the ED, completing Admission Assessments, Medication Reconciliation, and initiating acute care orders - Well-rounded background to care for patients with diverse diagnoses - **Advanced Skills Needed:** Charge Nurse experience or willingness to learn is appreciated. **Certifications Required:** - BLS - ACLS - NIHSS **Dress Code:** - Navy Blue/White or combination of the two colors – no t-shirts - Appropriate navy or white jacket/sweater if needed. **Additional Information:** - Many of our travel nurses request extensions; some have been with us for several years! - Opportunities to float to other units as needed, including: - CMU Telemetry Unit - ED Transport Nurses role for moving higher acuity patients - Work with a dedicated team of professionals committed to enhancing patient outcomes and experiences! **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
