**Join Our Dynamic PCU Team as a Travel RN!** **Job Description:** - **Location:** 509 Biltmore Avenue, A tower, D corridor, 3rd floor - **Unit Name:** D3-A - **Cost Center:** 616 - **Shift:** 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM **Unit Specifics:** - **Number of Beds:** 10 ICU/PCU Overflow - **Patient Ratios:** - ICU: 2:1 - PCU: 4-5:1 - **Staffing:** - Day Shift: 1 Charge RN, 5 Staff RNs - Night Shift: 1 Charge RN, 5 Staff RNs - **Available Support:** No unit secretaries or PCTs; charge nurse out of staffing - **Equipment:** Lift equipment, Targeted Temperature Management (TTM), ventilators, IV pumps, etc. - **Documentation System:** Cerner - **Scheduling:** - 12-hour shifts - Every other weekend required - Holiday support - **On Call Requirements:** None - **Floating Policy:** Yes, travelers may be required to float - **Patient Experience:** Bedside shift report is mandatory; relief charge nurse expected to perform nurse leader rounding **Hiring Profile:** - **Required Experience:** - Medical ICU experience in a large facility - Comfortable with hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management - **Key Skills:** Critical thinking, flexibility, teamwork - **Advanced Skills:** - Ventilator management - Critical care pharmacology (IV sedation, paralytics, vasopressors) - Advanced hemodynamic monitoring - Central line management - **Procedures:** Assist providers with bedside procedures (e.g., chest tube insertion, intubation) - **Certifications Required:** - BLS - ACLS **Dress Code:** - Required uniform: Navy Blue or white scrubs **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
