**Exciting Opportunity for an Experienced RN - Charge at D2 PCU Clinical Decision Unit** **Job Description:** - Join a dynamic team in a 40-bed Clinical Decision Unit, focusing on ED decompression and enhanced patient throughput. - Work within a fast-paced environment that is pivotal in receiving admitted patients from the Emergency Department, conducting assessments, and initiating acute care orders. - Experience a positive, teamwork-driven atmosphere with a focus on patient safety and care. - Required Skills: - Minimum of 2 years recent experience in MedSurg, Telemetry, and Step-Down (PCU). - Charge Nurse experience or a willingness to learn is appreciated. - Certifications: - BLS, ACLS, NIHSS. - Patient Ratios: - 1:5 for Step-Down and 1:6 for MedSurg, with 1:5 if combined on day and night shifts. - Unit Staffing: - Goal is for a free charge. - Typically 1-2 CNAs, based on volume, available day and night. - Equipment: - Utilize Baxter IV pumps and Cerner for documentation. - Dress Code: - Navy Blue/White or a combination of the two colors; no t-shirts. A navy or white jacket/sweater is acceptable. - Unique Opportunities: - Option to float to other units within your skill set. - Opportunities to work in the CMU Telemetry Unit and as an ED Transport Nurse. - Many travel nurses enjoy extended assignments due to the welcoming unit culture.
