Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Progressive Care Unit – Eureka, CA 95501

Start Date: October 5, 2026

Location: Eureka, California

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (6:00 PM - 6:30 AM), 4:1 patient ratio, 91-day assignment through January 4, 2027

Highlights:

• Progressive Care Unit position serving adult and geriatric patient populations
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, lift teams, and phlebotomy
• 24-hour orientation provided to ensure successful onboarding
• Work with Epic charting system in a collaborative care environment
• Opportunity to utilize advanced PCU skills including cardiac telemetry, dysrhythmia management, and central line care
• May have opportunity to work at sister facilities in the area

Requirements:

• Active California or Compact RN license (Compact license must be in hand at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in PCU, Stepdown, or ICU setting
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Proficiency in cardiac telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, blood product administration, central line and PICC line management, BiPAP/CPAP, and IV therapy
• Recent work experience within the last 6 months in the discipline (hard requirement)
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• Clean background check required; no exceptions for background findings
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
