Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in a fast-paced Stepdown Unit. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, critical thinking abilities, and a positive attitude to provide high-quality care to our patients.

Shift Information

• Shift Type: Nights
• Shift Length: 12 hours
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Unit Details

• Department: Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• Number of Beds: 35
• Patient Ratios: 1 RN to 4-5 patients
• Common Diagnoses: Adults and geriatrics with conditions including cardiac issues, nephrology problems, strokes, diabetes, and continuous EEG monitoring.
• Titration Responsibilities: RNs will be required to titrate drips, including medications such as Cardizem, beta-blockers, and seizure medications.
• Nurse Aids/Patient Care Techs: Present with ratios of 1:10 or 2:20.

Qualifications

• Experience Required: Minimum of 2 years as a Registered Nurse.
• Required Certifications:
  • ACLS (AHA)
  • BLS (AHA)
  • NIHSS

Scheduling and Orientation

• Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirements: Every third holiday
• Orientation: Comprehensive onboarding followed by 1-2 days of unit-specific orientation.

Additional Information

• Radius Rule: Candidates must be within a 50-mile radius and cannot be employed full-time, part-time, or PRN with any facilities associated with the organization.
• Fingernail Policy: Artificial nails are prohibited in departments providing patient care.
