Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Progressive Care Unit – Anchorage, AK 99508

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Anchorage, Alaska

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30), 13-week assignment. Patient ratio 1:4. Weekend coverage required based on staffing needs. Guaranteed 60 hours per 2-week period.

• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and lift teams
• Modern 36-bed progressive care unit serving as a stepdown from ICU across multiple disciplines
• Epic charting system with Philips monitoring equipment in each room

Requirements:

• Current Alaska RN license (pending licenses accepted but must be able to complete application within 48 hours of signing; license must be in hand for final offer)
• Minimum 1 year of progressive care or stepdown nursing experience
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience with 1:4 patient ratios
• Proficiency in cardiac telemetry, blood product administration, central line management, BiPAP/CPAP, high flow nasal cannula, chest tubes, and management of cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Willingness to float to lower acuity units including renal care, neuro, and medical-surgical as needed
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• Clean background check (no Nursys or background hits accepted)
