Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Virginia RN license or compact state license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of Registered Nurse experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Experience with adult and geriatric patients preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• BSN preferred
• Strong clinical background with patient ratio experience of 3:1 preferred
• Ability to float within scope as needed

PCU RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care in a Progressive Care Unit and intermediate care setting
• Support pre- and post-operative liver transplant and hepatology patients
• Monitor patient status, assess changes, and respond promptly to clinical needs
• Administer medications and manage therapies according to unit protocols
• Perform and assist with procedures such as central line care, chest tube management, and blood product administration
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, IV services, and rapid response support
• Document patient care accurately in Epic
• Maintain a safe, patient-centered environment while delivering compassionate bedside care
• Float within clinical scope when needed to support unit operations
