Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Progressive Care Unit – Spokane, WA 99204

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Spokane, Washington

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00), every other weekend required. Patient ratios 1:4-5. 13-week assignment with 12 hours of orientation.

Highlights:

• Work in a 629-bed short-term acute care teaching facility with Level II Trauma and Pediatric Trauma Center designations
• 42-bed Progressive Care/Stepdown unit serving adult and geriatric populations with cardiac, medical-surgical, and post-procedural patients
• Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• No parking fees; flexible holiday scheduling allowing choice of either Thanksgiving or Christmas off
• Opportunity to work with diverse patient diagnoses including CHF, AFib RVR, chest pain, post-cardiac catheterization, and cardiac drip management
• 48-hour work weeks approved when needed

Requirements:

• Active RN license (Compact license accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of progressive care or stepdown nursing experience required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Epic charting system experience required
• Essential skill: Ability to titrate and manage cardiac drips (hardstop requirement)
• Experience with patient ratios of 1:4-5
• Proficiency in cardiac telemetry, vasoactive drip titration, central line management, and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Willingness to float to telemetry or medical-surgical floors when overstaffed
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
