ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Watertown, New York.

PCU Registered Nurse (RN)

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

12-hour daytime shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with weekend, holiday, and call requirements.

Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated PCU Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess critical care experience and a thorough understanding of nursing principles. You will be responsible for assessing patient needs, implementing care plans, and ensuring safety protocols are met.

Responsibilities

  • Provide quality nursing care to patients in the progressive care unit.
  • Assess patient's clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual needs.
  • Recognize and address safety issues for self and patients.
  • Implement the safe use of lifts and movement techniques for patients.
  • Function effectively under stress and demonstrate problem-solving skills.
  • Possess strong leadership skills with an emphasis on prioritization and delegation.
  • May serve in a charge nurse capacity as needed.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Current New York RN license required.
  • BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications required; PALS preferred.
  • At least one prior successful travel nursing assignment is required.
  • Current critical care experience is preferred.
