Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30)

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Registered Nurse for our Observation Unit. The ideal candidate will utilize their acute care experience to provide high-quality patient care by managing complex cases, administering medications, and ensuring compliance with policies and protocols. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment with a diverse patient population, including those experiencing ETOH withdrawal and stroke.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and support in an Observation Unit setting.
• Monitor and manage patients with varying levels of acuity.
• Administer IV therapy and manage blood product transfusions.
• Respond to cardiac dysrhythmias and manage telemetry monitoring.
• Perform phlebotomy and ensure adherence to isolation precautions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 1 year of acute care nursing experience.
• Active NJ or Compact nursing license required at the time of submission.
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS.
• Experience with IV therapy, dysrhythmia management, and telemetry required.
