Travel RN Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,710–$1,800
• Shift Duration: 12-hour night shifts
• Shift Schedule: Approximately 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.; 36 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend, including six weekend shifts during the contract
• Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:5–6
• Unit: 26-bed adult orthopedic spine unit with telemetry capability

Travel Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry or comparable acute-care Registered Nurse experience; 2 years preferred
• Current Registered Nurse license in South Carolina or a valid multistate license
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Demonstrated dysrhythmia recognition and telemetry nursing competency
• Orthopedic nursing experience required
• At least 1 year of recent Epic electronic medical record experience
• Ability to care for adult patients with medical-surgical, cardiac, neurological, and postoperative conditions
• Willingness to float to qualified units or campuses as needed, based on documented competencies
• Flu vaccination required according to assignment policy

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for adult patients recovering from laminectomies, spinal fusions, discectomies, and other orthopedic spine procedures
• Monitor telemetry patients and recognize changes in cardiac rhythms, vital signs, or clinical condition
• Care for patients with conditions including low-risk acute coronary syndrome, TIA, diabetes, hypertension, COPD, dehydration, chest pain, DVT, and pulmonary embolism
• Manage postoperative recovery, pain control, mobility support, and coordination with physical therapy
• Perform patient assessments, medication administration, care planning, patient education, and accurate Epic documentation
• Provide care involving heparin drips, post-cath monitoring, post-renal biopsy care, CT angiography, and other unit-specific procedures
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, IV services, social services, and rapid response teams
• Promote safe patient mobility, prevent complications, and support positive clinical outcomes
