Job Summary

Cuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse - Progressive Care Unit/Stepdown to support patient care and clinical operations within healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients in the stepdown unit, monitoring patients' vitals and progression.
• Administer and titrate intravenous medications including Cardizem, amiodarone, and nitroglycerin.
• Interpret and act on telemetry readings and patient monitoring data.
• Float to the ICU when appropriate and experienced, ensuring quality care is maintained.
• Participate in a fast-paced environment with frequent admissions and discharges.
• Engage in positive teamwork and patient-centered care with colleagues.

Qualifications

• Current RN license with eligibility to practice in Iowa.
• Certification in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS as required.
• Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in a stepdown or telemetry unit preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret cardiac rhythms.
• Commitment to the fingernail policy prohibiting artificial nails in patient care departments.
• BSN degree and pass a hospital open-book skills exam with a 90% score on the first attempt.
